Seven saved from sinking yacht

Seven crew members of the yacht Hlangana were saved from the sinking vessel at Port Alfred on Thursday (03/10/2013).
According to the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) the yacht was being taken to Port Alfred from Port Elizabeth for routine repair when she reportedly ran into rocks on North reef of Bird Island at around 06:30am.
NSRI Port Alfred duty coxswain Keryn van der Walt said crew members, all from the Eastern Cape,
were brought to Port Alfred and no one was injured.
