Central water off for days

A FAULTY water valve left large parts of Central in Port Elizabeth without water at the weekend, and frustration among residents and businesses reached boiling point yesterday.
Deare Street resident Sheronica Mdushane, who has an eight-month-old daughter, Thandiswa, said she would have to move back to her mother's house in Motherwell if the problem was not resolved soon.
"The situation is manageable for me and my husband, but our daughter simply can't live under these conditions. I can't wash her, the bottles or her nappies.
"The water just stopped on Friday morning and hasn't come back on since.
