PAGEANT CONTENDERS

Bay beauties are off to New York

Leanka Laubscher and Anneke Bushby selected for the International Princess Pageant

Port Elizabeth’s Leanka Laubscher and Anneke Bushby are the only Eastern Cape models selected for the South African team to take part in the International Princess Pageant in New York from July 12 to 15.
Both will also compete in the Talent America performing arts competition in New York from July 3 to 11 in the dance, modelling and acting categories.
Port Elizabeth traditionally has a big contingent of contestants taking part in Talent America and this year is no different. The Talent Africa nationals were held in Port Elizabeth in April and the International Princess Pageant component was on the last day of the competition.
Dance teacher Laubscher, 27, is the Senior Miss International Princess Pageant for South Africa and Bushby, 16, a pupil at Framesby High, is the overall grand supreme Miss International Princess Pageant winner for South Africa.
