One of the most popular venues for celebrations is The Granary. It is in an old warehouse in the popular Stanley Street. The warehouse, which was established as a bakery in 1925, is a shabby chic, yet modern mix of decor with exposed brick work and high ceilings and massive sliding wooden doors.

The venue is in good company as the area is gaining a reputation as Port Elizabeth’s culinary hub. The tables and chairs lining Stanley Street create a European outdoor cafe vibe and you would be hard-pressed to find a weekend when the street isn’t bustling with activity.

Street parties are not uncommon in the area with late night sales and live music to appeal to the younger, trendier crowd.
