Miss SA heats up Miss World

BEAUTY pageant fans will be pleased to know SABC3 will be airing the Miss World pageant on Saturday, September 28.

Miss SA Marilyn Ramos is regarded as a frontrunner. According to Missosology.com Ramos leads this week's picks as the "hottest Miss World candidate".

"It's the silent contestant that could snatch the blue crown. And that's where Marilyn Ramos is right now. No hype, no noise, but a laser-sharp focus towards the Miss World 2013 title," states the website about the Klerksdorp beauty. Other favourites are from Cyprus, Ecuador, US and Cameroon.

The Miss World opening ceremony took place in Bali last Sunday. The ceremony was held amid great protest in the country and it was decided that this year the 131 contestants won't be wearing bikinis in the beach beauty section of the contest.

The national broadcaster will air the show at 2pm and will repeat it at 7pm.
