Savoy Theatre Workshops are back

Top PE talent will share how to sing, act and dance as well as do make-up, magic and gymnastics

The Savoy Theatre Workshops are back by popular demand, and will cover a variety of performing disciplines for all ages from Wednesday December 12 to Tuesday December 18.
Each day there will be three sessions where participants can choose from up to three different workshops.
There is a wide range of workshops led by some of PE’s top people in their field and covering many different styles of singing, acting and dancing as well as make-up, magic and gymnastic skills.
The first workshops were held in December last year with 48 locals aged from 10 to 50 something enjoying the 20 workshops on offer.
Teachers and performing arts professionals came together to share their knowledge and expertise and the feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive: “very informative and helped me improve my skills in the field of theatre”, “this one was spectacular”, “fun and interesting”.
“It was very clear that G&S had to make these workshops a regular event so the second workshops took place in June-July this year and we’re back for some Christmas Theatre fun!” said G&S President Rose Cowpar.
“PE is blessed with some amazing talent and it is vital that we nurture and develop our young (and not so young) up-and-coming performers so that not only they, but our whole performing arts scene continues to grow and thrive.
“G&S is committed to playing an active role in developing young talent and passing on skills not just for performers but to add value in all aspects of life.”
