Spring into love at festival


The Swanlake Gardens wedding and functions venue will host a spring and love festival, accompanied by an art exhibition as it opens the love garden on Saturday.
The festival, to be repeated on October 13, will include an art exhibition of painting by venue owner Ds Marius Lourens and Elschen Jansen, sculpture by Lourens and Anton Momberg as well as glass by Niël Malan.
Guests can enjoy a clivia show, a dance show by Ray’s Dance Studio, craft stalls, food, music and more at the event.
Lourens said he hoped the love garden would become a venue where couples, families and friends could celebrate and make memories of love.
The festival will run from 8am until 5pm. Admission is R30 for the general public, and R20 for children and pensioners.Swanlake Gardens is situated at 266 Kragga Kamma Road, Theescombe.
