Elements of Dance at PE Opera House

Port Elizabeth's Ellen Bunting Dance Academy is producing a new show Elements of Dance at the PE Opera House on Friday and Saturday, November 3 and 4.

Academy principal Simone Buchner has put together a nostalgic and entertaining journey which celebrates the various “elements” of dance such as ballet, tap, modern, jazz and hip-hop.

She hopes the audience will get their feet tapping as the show moves across time and music with this on-stage theatrical dance production featuring well-known hits and colourful costumes.

Director and producer Buchner has incorporated a wide range of disciplines in Elements of Dance. ranging from modern and tap all the way through to lyrical and broadway jazz.

It will feature a kaleidoscope of numbers from tap-dancing children to Broadway jazz and even a Greek-inspired twist to a tap number.

Elements of Dance will be at the Opera House on Friday at 7.30pm and next Saturday at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. Tickets at R120 are on sale at Computicket.
