Network with Niqui at 'Spring Sunsets'

The next Charity Networking Events fundraiser – Spring Sunsets – on Thursday, September 7, will feature the smooth sounds of saxophonist Marcellus Welman, singer Faye Gatley and multi-faceted entertainer Niqui Cloete-Barrass of Boost Creative Solutions – and much more.

The night is shaping up to be a party of note, says one of the organisers, Megan Holden.

“It’s a relaxed and sociable way to spend time with entrepreneurs, professionals and other business people from various fields across the Bay,” Holden said.

Spring Sunsets is a cocktail evening at 6.30 for 7pm at the Roof Garden Bar in Central. Tickets are R195 per person and include the night’s entertainment, a two-course meal by Foong’s (with a choice for vegetarians) and a welcome drink.

Cloete-Barrass, who will MC the evening, said “Faye has a gorgeous voice and together with Marcellus on the saxophone will do lovely, sophisticated music to give us a relaxed, chilled vibe for the night.”

And there is more than music on offer say the four organisers, who bring on board individuals and firms who give their time and services free of charge, keeping costs down to ensure charities reap the benefits.

“There are stacks of lucky draws and a few incredibly indulgent raffles to raise funds on the night,” Holden said. These include jewellery, hand massages, a scent experience and Vinimark wine station.

So far this year CNE has given Bay charities Love Story and the Animal Welfare Society substantial donations. Autism Eastern Cape will be the beneficiary of the Spring Sunsets event.
