Step out in style
PIXEL Shoes is stepping out in style in its new store at 99 Main Road Walmer.
The move from 178 Main Road has allowed franchise owner Julie Oates to extend her range of imported shoes.
Oates says the new store is much bigger and allows customers access to the wide range of exotic shoes as well as its range of imported wear.
The quaint shop with its mosaic high-heel shoes on the pink walls outside cannot be missed and has been going for the last two-and-a-half- years.
"It started with the help of my business mentor, and our love for travelling to wonderful places to find beautiful shoes," said Oates.
The business soon blossomed when they realised other women would like beautiful shoes but could, perhaps, not afford to travel to find them.
"I remember we had 600 pairs of shoes the first Saturday we opened and sold 500 pairs the same day," said Oates.
She said what set Pixel apart from other stores was the fact that her shoes were imported and catered for women with tiny feet.
Their stock sizes range from size 3 to 7, but they also have many customers that wear size 2 shoes.
Oates said they took orders from these clients and ensured they too could step out in style.
