Praying part of family time

THE Marchmans from Aspen Heights are adventurous teachers who enjoy spending time with their four children.

"We spend a lot of time together as a family. We go to church together every Wednesday and Sunday. No matter where we find ourselves in the country we make sure that we go to church and we pray together every morning and evening," said Gordon.

On weekends when they are not going to the movies or church they go on a road trip to discover new places. They have been to the Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga and the Western Cape for holidays , but they love the Eastern Cape.

The family's favourite time of the year is Christmas. They have a tradition of decorating the Christmas tree together with their extended families.

The couple has been married for 11 years and still enjoy married life.

"We are still happy and we are blessed with beautiful romantic children that make us happy. They are open and honest. They even spoil us and would prepare us a table with candles and food."

Charmaine said her husband was a family man who helped with chores like cleaning the house and working in the garden.

"We always tell our kids to speak their minds, be themselves and enjoy life."

"We are a happy family, we love and appreciate our parents. They try their best to make us happy. There are times they can't give us what we want but we understand because they are wonderful parents," the children said.
