Family making a name in business
IN the innermost part of Westering, lives the Sinclair family who personify the quiet nature of this part of the suburb.
They have been living in Westering for approximately 14 years, having first lived in Brandt Street and then settling in Pimpernel Street.
"We moved from Johannesburg to East London and finally made Port Elizabeth our home city," Roxzanne Sinclair said.
Roxzanne's father, Keith, is medically boarded, having hurt his hand in an accident during his days working as a fitter and turner. He now looks after their beautiful home, where they house a second family – their animals.
Keith's wife, Heather, got transferred from Johannesburg in 1998 and now works for Distell in Struandale as a warehouse coordinator and health and safety officer.
Roxzanne, an only child, runs a beauty parlour, Just For You Beauty Salon, at her home.
She studied to become a beautician at Total Concepts and now she's her own boss.
"I'm very excited as we are building the biggest beauty salon in Westering. My parents are helping me to establish it," 23-year-old Roxzanne said.
The Sinclairs have a whole host of animals which include five dogs, two African Grey parrots and a cockatiel.
"I'm the reason for all the animals we have here, because when I see them I just take them home," Roxzanne said.
