Dream chance for PE models

TWO Port Elizabeth models – one from the Northern Areas and the other from a township – have landed contracts with top agency Boss Models after participating in a homegrown version of a reality TV modelling competition.

Courtney Kayser, 18, of Jacksonville and Xabiso Madini, 21, of Motherwell, are jetting off to Cape Town within the next two weeks after impressing organisers of Port Elizabeth's Next Top Model, a 13-episode series which is due to air on BayTV in mid-July.

Madini said yesterday the opportunity was a dream come true.

"I am a township boy who will be jetting off to Cape Town soon to live my dream. What more could I ask for?

"Filming the show was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life and now it has given me the chance for more experiences and memorable moments," he said.

Boss Models owner Byron Keulemans, who was one of the judges, confirmed the two had secured contracts and would travel to Cape Town within the next month.
