Accolades for Imbasa

EXCELLENCE, drive and perseverance helped Imbasa Primary to be recognised as one of the best schools in the Motherwell community.

The NU12 school received computers valued at R45000 from Umhlobo Wenene FM.

Excited about the new computers and about winning the annual 10km classic fun run, hosted by the radio station, their sports coordinator, Thami George, said she could not wait to use the computer lab.

"This is a very important and special day for us. We worked very hard and we deserved to win, because we had the most participants.

Ranetse Leewu 13, one of their pupils who also does the children’s show on Umhlobo Wenene on Saturdays, shared his teacher’s sentiments.

"I am really happy about this day, I cannot wait to use the computer lab,” said Leewu.

The school’s sports manager, Selby Vukile Madikane, said they wanted the computer lab to be full of computers within the next four years.
