Ex-Chippa coach in racism claim

AXED Chippa United coach Roger Sikhakhane has launched a scathing attack on the club following his sacking, saying he was sabotaged because of the colour of his skin.

Sikhakhane blamed Chippa chief executive Peter Koutroulis and technical director Mich d’Avary for his dismissal and revealed that he turned down a scouting job he was offered because it was an embarrassment.

Koutroulis hit back yesterday, saying Sikhakhane should not point fingers at innocent people.

“If ever he has a problem because he was sacked, Roger must direct his anger at the person he believed fired him and that’s it,” Koutroulis said.

Sikhakhane signed a three-year contract with Chippa last month after a series of positive results as interim boss, but was sacked a couple of weeks later and replaced by German coach Ernst Middendorp.
