Locks Fuzani, Pieterse join Pumas

Towering locks Tazz Fuzani and Dylan Pieterse will be packing down for the Pumas next season after they decided to leave Port Elizabeth. They will be joining former EP Kings coach Brent Janse van Rensburg, who is now in charge at the Pumas after leaving Boland at the end of last season. After a signing spree, the Southern Kings can now call on the services of five locks for Super Rugby – Irné Herbst, Cameron Lindsay, Sintu Manjezi, Tyler Paul and Wandile Putuma. In 2014, Fuzani was called up to the Stormers team for the Super Rugby season and was included on the bench against the Reds in Brisbane. In July 2014, Fuzani’s agent confirmed he would leave Cape Town at the end of the 2014 season and join the EP Kings on a two-year contract. He made his debut for the EP Kings by starting their first match of last year’s Vodacom Cup season, a 27-19 defeat to defending champions Griquas. In all, Fuzani played 21 games for the Kings. Pieterse joined the Kings from the Western Force at the start of the Currie Cup Premier Division season. Five days after arriving in Port Elizabeth, he made his Currie Cup Premier Division debut when he came on off the bench against Western Province.
