Sky’s the limit for lock Pieterse

EP Kings lock Dylan Pieterse says there are no boundaries when it comes to the big decisions he needs to make to fulfil his dream of becoming an established Super Rugby player.

That included jumping on a plane and trying his luck in Australia when the 21-year-old attempted to break into the Western Force Super Rugby team.

When things did not work out there, he grabbed the chance to join the Kings when they were scrambling to put a team together for the Currie Cup Premier Division.

Five days after arriving in Port Elizabeth, Pieterse made his Currie Cup Premier Division debut when he came on off the bench against Western Province.

Kings head coach Barend Pieterse – who shares a surname with his new player – has already described the young lock as one of the finds of the season and says he has a future in Port Elizabeth.

Unafraid to take a chance, Pieterse says his dream is to nail down a regular starting berth in a Super Rugby team and that is one of the reasons he came to Port Elizabeth.
