NMMU team reduced to 12 men forced to dig deep against CUT

Anxious Madibaz coach David Maidza says his team are “treading on thin ice” as far as discipline is concerned after they were shown five yellow cards during their Varsity Cup clash against the Central University of Technology (CUT).

In their opening game against Pukke, the Madibaz were on the receiving end of a red card when Brian Skosana was shown a second yellow card. Maidza has admitted his team’s discipline is lacking.

Madibaz lost their first game 36-26 against Pukke in Potchefstroom, but bounced back with a 34-13 win against CUT in front of their home fans on Monday.

“I will have a look at the CUT game again, but did not see any problems in what the referees handed out. I thought our discipline let us down,” Maidza said.
