Cheetahs-Bulls game could set tone for Super Rugby

It may merely be a friendly match, but the clash between the Bulls and Cheetahs at Peter Mokaba Stadium tomorrow afternoon could well set the tone for the two teams in the real business of Super Rugby.

A look at both squads shows that most of the Springbok players will not be in action this weekend.

For the Cheetahs, niggles to Willie le Roux and Teboho “Oupa” Mohoje could see them not taking part, while the Bulls’ Adriaan Strauss, Victor Matfield, François Hougaard, Jan Serfontein and a host of other senior players will also not be playing. Diluted sides, one might think.

However, it is far from the case.
