Saints go marching on Pride for three in row

SAINTS will be hoping to make it three out of three this evening when they play Booysens Pride in a Nafa Premier League fixture.

After 12 matches without a win they beat Shamrocks and Fairview Rovers in their last two matches to move away from the bottom of the log for the first time. More importantly they scored 12 goals with just three against in the two matches.

Bloom Callies, who regained their position at the top of the log after beating Blackpool on Saturday, play Hotspurs at the Dyke on Saturday.

After setting the early pace the Spurs are without a win in their last eight matches, picking up just two points in the process.

After failing to gain a place in the Safa-NMB SAB League when they lost in a penalty shoot-out to Ghetto XI in the final hurdle last week, Glenville will be back in action on Sunday when they play Ebenezer in Windvogel. They are now third with a match in hand.

Fairdene, who are setting the league alight, play Westlake on Finnis 1 on Saturday.

The newly-promoted outfit are second on the log ahead of established teams like Blackpool, Hotspurs and Park United.

Blackpool will hoping to make up lost ground when they play Fairview Rovers in Malabar on Sunday. The Pool suffered a setback when they lost 1-0 to Callies in the last match.

Park United should score a morale-boosting win when they host Wolves in Arcadia on Sunday.
