GRENS High, from East London, proved themselves the best schools netball team in the Eastern Cape after beating Brandwag and Nico Malan in the playoffs for the National Netball Challenge at Young Park on Saturday.

The three regional winners – Grens, Brandwag and Nico Malan – competed in the U18 division of the Challenge.

Grens will represent EP at the national finals to be held in Boksburg next month.

In the opening encounter, Grens beat Nico Malan 27-10, which was followed by Brandwag's 29-15 victory against Nico Malan.

This set up a playoff decider between Brandwag and Grens, which Grens won narrowly 22-18.
