Glenville, Ikamva move up

GLENVILLE Celtic (Nafa) and Ikamva Movers (Mofa) will play in the Safa-NMB SAB League when the new season kicks off later this year.

They will replace Sunrise (Zwifa) and Peace Lovers (Peefa), who were relegated when the 2013-14 season ended in a nail-biting finish last month.

In the gruelling playoffs over the weekend, the Premier League champions of the 12 Local Football Associations affiliated to Safa-NMB were grouped into four and played a round robin.

The log-leaders in each group met in the semifinals, with the winners gaining automatic promotion.

Both the semifinals ended in penalty shoot-outs after ending goalless.

Movers beat Dodgers (Nebfa) 2-0 while Glenville beat Ghetto Stars (Wafa) 2-1.
