NMMU need to bounce back

VODACOM NMMU Madibaz could struggle to retain their place at the top of the Pefa Premier League this evening when they host Warriors at their south campus.

While the students are the only unbeaten team in the league, their recent form has been far from impressive.

Warriors, on the other hand, are as unpredictable as they come. After their 7-2 thrashing at the hands of Callies they were unlucky to go down 2-1 to Hearts. They then beat title-chasing Forresters 2-0 and drew 2-2 with struggling PE Homerovers last week.

Hearts, who must still be smarting from their 3-1 defeat by PE Defence – their first of the season – last week, should bounce back when they tackle Highbury in Bridgemead. .

Callies, who are averaging four goals a match since their 6-0 thumping by Madibaz early in the season, should be among the goals once again when they play NMB Municipality at the Westbourne Oval.

The match of the weekend should be the clash between Defence and Forresters at the EC Command field in Forest Hill.

Central Acemates, who are struggling to recapture the form that made them Pefa champions last year, play Motherwell Academy at Victoria Park.
