New champions get major wake-up call

WITH the Zwifa Premier in the bag, Major Chiefs almost paid the price for complacency in their final match of the season against Morning Stars.

The champions had to fight back from a goal down in the first half to draw 1-1.

Little Birds, who lost to Chiefs in the league decider, ended their season on a high, beating Young Brothers 3-1.

Brothers, who lost their second match 2-0 to Real Dodgers, will be relegated to the First Division together with Soweto Angels.

Shinning Stars beat Manchester City 2-1 to finish third.

Camper United will be promoted to the Premier League after beating Jumbo Chiefs 2-0 to clinch the First Division League title.

Strikers United drew 2-2 with Hungry Lion to claim second place.

Despite losing 2-0 to Shinning Stars B, Young Killers finished third.
