Some Nafa teams to do battle on two fronts

SEVERAL teams will be battling it out on two fronts in the Nafa Premier League this weekend.

While all the teams will be in action in league matches at various fields tomorrow some will be back in action in the first round proper of the Mala Moodaley KO cup competition at the Finnis Street fields on Sunday.

Blackpool, who surged to the top of the log for the first time this season when they beat Ebenezer last week, face a tough match against Fairdene on Finnis 1 tomorrow.

Last week Fairdene beat Hotspurs to topple them from the top of the log.

On Sunday the Pool should have the beating of Westham in a KO Cup fixture on Finnis 3. They scored the biggest win of the preliminary round when they beat Shatterprufe 8-0.

Hotspurs, who struggled in the league after losing to Fairview Rovers in the preliminary round of the KO Cup, face two tough matches. They play Helenvale in the league at the Dyke tomorrow and Glenville in the KO Cup on Sunday.

Spurs lost to Rovers on penalties but have been controversially reinstated after Rovers were declared defaulters.

Defending league champions Glenville, who slipped to third after losing 2-1 to Bloom Callies last week, play neighbours Wolves in the league tomorrow

Rovers, who scored their first win of the season last week when they hammered Chatty United 4-0, play Westlake who beat Shamrocks 4-2.
