Kings captain not in team to face Eagles after training knock

SKIPPER Stephan Zaayman has been forced to pull out of the EP Kings team to face the SWD Eagles in George tomorrow after taking a knock in training.

Hooker Albe de Swardt will now take over as skipper with Ivan-John du Preez taking Zaayman’s place at No 8 in the team to play in a Vodacom Cup showdown.

Despite not being involved, a determined Zaayman says his teammates will “fight fire with fire” against the Eagles.

“It is going to be a tough physical battle. We have looked at the videos and analysed their play and they are a team that like to get under your skin,” Zaayman said.

“But that is not a problem for us because we will stick to our game plan and be more physical than them. You have to have a positive attitude on the field. You cannot go into a game with a mindset that you will be bullied by them,” he said.
