Grey hold off opposition in narrow win

GREY High ground out a hard-earned 10-7 result over Michaelhouse to make it three wins from three games on the final day of the Standard Bank Grey Rugby Festival on the Philip field yesterday.

It was not the prettiest end to a highly successful festival and Grey will surely be looking for a major improvement when they start their schools programme next week.

Nevertheless, there will be a certain amount of satisfaction at holding off a spirited Michaelhouse side, who never gave up trying and kept the result in the balance until the final whistle, which came with Grey on the attack.
