Crunch time for soccer teams

THERE are several crucial matches in the Mofa Build-It Premier League this weekend.

Shining Stars face a tough double-header that could take them to the top of the log. They play Valencia, tied with them in third place, tomorrow and log-leaders Young Madrid on Sunday.

Stars trail Madrid by two points but have two matches in hand.

Valencia should have an easy match against Highland Spurs on Sunday. Ikamva Movers also have a shot at becoming log-leaders.

They play Young Tigers tomorrow and Lion Stars on Sunday.

Milan Stars could also make inroads if they overcome Tottenham Spurs tomorrow and Real Strikers on Sunday.

NEW kids on the block Fairdene should continue their excellent start in the Nafa Premier League against Wolves in Arcadia tomorrow. They are unbeaten after two matches in the senior league, sharing the points with Shamrocks and thrashing Chatty United 7-2 to record the biggest score in the early season.

Despite scoring eight goals in two matches Glenville could be put to the test when they play Bloom Callies at the Errol Heynes field. Callies drew their opening match and then scored an easy 3-0 win over neighbours Park United.

The match of the weekend could be the clash between Shamrocks and Booysens Pride in Marock Road. Both are unbeaten.
