Chance for Kabah to chase down log leaders

KABAH United Brothers should close in on Nodefa VW Community Trust Premier League log leaders Mbabala Young Stars when they play struggling Manchester Babes at the Jabavu Stadium tomorrow evening.

Babes are just one place away from the bottom of the log while Brothers trail Stars by five points.

In the late match, City Friends play Stokes United. Both are out of the running for the championships and could finish third at best.

The log leaders, who suffered a shock defeat at the hands of Jamaican Stars last week, face Khayelitsha Stars on Saturday.

Jamaican and Khayelitsha are tied in 10th place.

Really Rangers, the best of the chasing pack, play Jamaican.

THE five contenders for the Nebfa Sedgars Premier League title will continue their battle over the weekend. Dodgers, who have a two-point lead with a match in hand, play Stinging Bees in the final match at the Chevrolet Stadium on Saturday. Bees are just 10 points adrift and could upset their more fancied opponents.

Red City will favour their chances of retaining second spot when they play struggling Eastern Jumpers on Sunday.

PE Sundowns, now in fourth place, could battle against City Lads who are nine points behind them. Winter Rose should have the beating of Black Stars.
