Romans struggle to cut down opposition

YOUNG Romans and Nubs continued their battle at the top of the Zafa Premier League soccer table on Saturday.

Romans, who are a point ahead of Nubs, made heavy weather of their 1-0 win over struggling Continental Express, who are two places from the bottom of the log.

Nubs scored an easy 3-0 win over Zama-Zama.

The needle match between Young Professionals and Dynamos lived up to all the pre-match hype, with Professionals winning 1-0.

As a result, Dynamos, who were just a point behind Professionals, dropped to seventh on the log. Professionals are third. Meanwhile, Eleven Angels' hopes of closing in on the log-leaders suffered when they lost 2-1 to Seven United.

United Comrades thrashed Bubs 3-0 to move into fifth spot.
