Kings expect tough Tuskers tie

THE EP Kings are expecting a ferocious assault on their defence when they clash with a rugged Kenyan Tusker Simba side in a Vodacom Cup match in Cape Town on Saturday, coach Mzwandile Stick said yesterday.

"It will be a tough one and the Tuskers will come hard at us. But the boys are well prepared and ready," Stick said.

All eyes will be on the youthful Kings side after they crashed to a heavy 46-8 defeat against Griquas in their final warm-up match ahead of what promises to be a testing Vodacom Cup campaign.

"We have worked hard in training and the guys are looking sharp in the lineouts and more balanced in the scrums than they did against Griquas," Stick said. The Kings have included Scott van Breda and Siviwe "Shakes" Soyizwapi into their starting lineup after they failed to make the Stormers overseas touring party. - George Byron
