Nothing stopping NMMU1 charge

MECER NMMU1 continued their uncontested march towards the NMB Premier League title with an obliteration of Rhodes at the campus on Saturday.

NMMU1 have yet to meet their match again this season and so it was yesterday as they steam-rolled Rhodes for a mere 66 runs.

Seamers Duane Adams and Matthew Kennedy took four and three wickets respectively to set up the comfortable victory. Eddie Moore carved 50 not out to secure his team a nine-wicket triumph before the lunch break.

In the other match played on Saturday, Kelly Smuts made an unbeaten 86 to help NMMU2 beat Welcome by six wickets.

Yesterday's only match saw Despatch claim a comfortable 167-run victory over ADT Pirates.
