Premier League shortened

THE NMB Premier League cricket programme has been shortened to three matches because of the test match between South Africa and Australia.

Rhodes are finally back in action after completing only five fixtures, all before the Christmas break.

They have a number of matches to catch up and their assignment is a tough one against defending champions Mecer NMMU1 at the campus.

NMMU1 have been sublime this season and should maintain their unbeaten record in this all-student clash.

Their second side, NMMU2, are likely to have little trouble disposing of Welcome, also at the campus.

The only other match of the weekend sees Despatch host ADT Pirates on Sunday.

The fixtures are:

Tomorrow: Mecer NMMU1 v Rhodes; NMMU2 v Welcome

Sunday: Despatch v ADT Pirates - Alvin Reeves
