FRIDAY night’s friendly between the EP Kings and Griquas at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium will be a good test of the province’s depth of talent before the Vodacom Cup kicks off next month.
The Kings have named a young side to face Griquas and Kings Vodacom Cup head coach Mzwandile Stick will be hoping this pre-season “hit out” gives him some valuable pointers for the season ahead.
Friday’s clash is the last warm-up game before the Kings face Kenya’s Tusker Simba XV in Cape Town on March 8.
Stick said while the team was a relatively young side, there was a good mix of talented players, including some who had been selected from EP’s club rugby structures.
