Pirates hold off Park Tigers in EP league humdinger

PIRATES held off Park Tigers to win an EP league baseball humdinger 10-9 last weekend.
The combination of pitcher Elrich Tolmie and catcher Skuttie Bezuidenhout worked well for Pirates on the day. The game was locked at 3-3 in the third frame, and had it not been for the batting performances of Bezuidenhout, JP Benson and Hein van Loggenberg, Pirates would have had their backs to the wall.
For Park Tigers, Hennie Stander, Mark Stopforth and Lyle Ferreira batted well. Luke Jamieson pitched well but unfortunate mistakes in the field let the game slip away from them.
