NNMU’s Kotze stars with bat

TALENTED NMMU wicketkeeper- batsman Hanno Kotze was the hero in last weekend’s Sedgars Premier League with two match-winning innings for his team.

On Saturday, Kotze’s knock of 81 helped NMMU to 215/7 and they then dismissed Union Stars for 122.

He continued his form on Sunday, making 107 as the varsity team defeated George by 106 runs.

Mayflower (151/5) caused the upset of the weekend when they beat Pacaltsdorp United (150) by five wickets and moved away from the bottom of the log.

Mossel Bay (114/8) defeated Pirates United (113) by two wickets to stay in the running for a semifinal place, while Sussex (94) easily beat Mayflower (28). Harlequins Forces (60/5) strengthened their chances of a semifinal spot after they defeated George (59).
