STORMERS coach Allister Coetzee said he would be really happy if the EP Kings were promoted into an enlarged eight-team Currie Cup Premier Division this year.
Coetzee was speaking ahead of tomorrow’s crucial vote in Cape Town when South African rugby bosses will decide on whether to enlarge their Premier Division. “The question on whether the Kings should be promoted was answered last year when massive crowds supported their debut season in Super Rugby,” Coetzee said.
“Top rugby would be good for the entire Eastern Cape region. So I would be really happy if they play top flight rugby again. Such a decision would be good for rugby and the people of the Eastern Cape deserve it.
