MOTHERWELL’S Real City beat Morning Stars 2-1 in a Safa Eastern Cape second division encounter at the NU2 Stadium in Motherwell on Saturday.
City scored all the their goals in the second half after Stars took the lead in the first period.
The Kwazakhele-based Stars drew first blood in the opening minutes when Phumelelo Msila netted.
City came back strongly in the second half to level the score. Stars then tried everything to regain the lead but were blocked.
City failed to convert several scoring chances.
The Motherwell side eventually took the lead when they netted their second goal in the dying moments to gain maximum points.
Meanwhile, Highbury were beaten 3-2 by East London’s FC Buffalo in another second division league fixture, at Gelvandale on Friday.
Buffalo will represent the province in the last 32 of the national Nedbank Cup Challenge.
