Stars players were determined to win the game when Plaatjies registered his second goal of the match.
Anele Tolwana scored his brace to take the score to 5-0.
The visitors scored two quick goals towards the end of the match but it was too late.
Meanwhile, Highbury beat neighbours Jeffreys Bay Milan 2-1 in another Safa Eastern Cape Second Division League clash at the seaside town’s sports ground on Saturday.
The home side scored both goals before the break.
Abduragmaan Moodien scored the first goal of the match in the 14th minute.
