Westview men off to flying start
THE EP bowls leagues began last weekend, with the Westview men getting off to a flying start against Western Suburbs, scoring a full house of seven points and a massive 62-shot profit.
The Woods (6) versus Park Drive and Walmer (5) against Mill Park also scored well.
All of the women's clashes ended in margins of 5-2, with no upsets.
The EP teams will travel to Knysna for their final team preparations against Southern Cape ahead of the inter-regional competitions in March.
Willie Kilian has withdrawn from the Open side and has been replaced by Nap Erasmus, with Tyrone Milligan stepping in as well.
Paul Spriggs will now skip the team.
There has also been a withdrawal in the seniors team, with Bempie Grant coming in for Heinz Fischer.
Those travelling on the coach must be at Westview by 4.15am and the Jeffreys Bay contingent must meet at Mentorskraal by 5am.
