Greeff to fly PE flag at Met Day

Punters' Pal
HORSE racing fans in the Eastern Cape have also caught the J&B Met fever and another great weekend of top-class racing awaits us.
You had to be quick to get a racecard for tomorrow's big day at Kenilworth in Cape Town.
The big race looks like an open affair and should be a really good one.
It is always good to see a Port Elizabeth stable represented at Cape Town's biggest race day.
Although he will not be saddling a runner in the Met, trainer Alan Greeff will fly the PE flag in two of the 12 races.
Keep an eye on the Greeff runner in the fourth race. Seattle Joe will take them on in the Juvenile Stakes, a race in which the Greeff stable has a fine record.
Arria (Justin Snaith) looks the one to beat in this race and it should be just one of the day's thrilling races.
The other Greeff runner is Drumminor in the last race.
He should find it tough in the stayers race, but long-distance horses from PE can never be underestimated.
Met Day does grab the imagination, but do not forget about the nine races at Fairview today.
The feature event will be the Fairview Merchants over 1200m.
Another race not be missed is a Conditions Stakes over 2700m.
The exciting Forest Digger, trained by Mitch Wiese, runs in this event and is always a joy to watch.
Forest Digger was nearly lost to racing due to a serious knee injury and it is just unbelievable to see him perform the way he does at the moment.
In this race are also Drill Sargeant and Key Castle. They are both huge favourites of the PE public.
It should pay to follow Cape Town trainer Snaith at Fairview and Kenilworth this weekend.
He looks ready to rock and roll.
