Warriors eager to knock off Knights

CHEVROLET Warriors cricket coach Piet Botha says his charges are confident of picking up their second consecutive RAM Slam T20 Challenge victory when they clash with the Knights in East London tonight (6pm).

Buffalo Park will play host to the Warriors’ opening home game this season after they kicked off their campaign with a win over the Highveld Lions in Cape Town on Sunday.

The game was part of the Cell C Festival of Cricket at Newlands.

Botha yesterday reaffirmed the importance of maintaining momentum with another victory.

“We have to be at the top of our game – T20 is the kind of competition where anyone could change the game for his team and that is why we are focusing on our own game and not theirs.”
