Metro official to head EP Athletics

THE senior superintendent in waste water management at the Nelson Mandela Metro, Selby Thabethe, 41, is the new head of athletics in the province following elections held over the weekend.

Thabethe has been a member of the PE Athletic Club for the past seven years. Veteran administrator Irene van Eden is his deputy.

Another veteran, Alan Taylor, co-organiser of the recent Nelson Mandela Bay City half-marathon, will head EPA Development.
