Nodefa race on between City and United

MANCHESTER United and City Friends should continue their battle for pole position in the Nodefa VW Community Trust premier soccer league this weekend.

United are top of the log with 19 points from seven games, three clear of City, who take on Manchester Babes in the early match tomorrow.

City must be favoured to pick maximum points as Babes are languishing at the lower end of the log. Three points will put them level with United, but ahead on goal difference.

Later in the day, United take on Black Aces, who thrashed Babes 4-1 in their last match, while United scored a close 1-0 win over struggling Temptation.

Jamaican Stars, who are third with 14 points from seven games, meet struggling Highland Spurs.

Last week, Jamaican lost their unbeaten record when they went down 2-0 to Golden Chiefs, while Spurs held champions Imbabala Stars to a goalless draw.

Chiefs should prove too strong for Khayletisha Stars.

In the only match on Sunday, tailenders City Style clash with Kubah United. Victory for Kabah will take them into the top eight.
