Callies up for double victory

CALLIES put themselves in line for the Pefa Premier League and Cup double on Sunday when they edged out Warriors 3-2 after leading 2-1 at halftime.

Cleavdon Draai and (2) and Sheniel Benn scored for Callies.

In the Reserve League, Callies thrashed Motherwell Academy 3-0.

Their luck ran out in the First Division when Callies Thistles lost 2-1 to St Georges Colts.

Defending Premier League champions Central Acemates scored the biggest win of the opening round when they thrashed KwaDwesi All Stars 4-0.

Highbury avenged their defeat in the league when they beat NMB Municipality 1-0.
