Leaders Madibaz stamp authority with 6-1 win

CALLIES went on another goal- scoring spree on Friday evening, thrashing arch-rivals Hearts 4-1 in a Pefa Premier League match in their own backyard, The Valley.

The Londt Park outfit, who are averaging close to four goals a match, led 2-0 at the break courtesy of a Shieniel Benn brace.

In the second half Callies continued to dominate the match, with Kurt Petersen and Nkosinati Ndamane adding a goal each.

Log leaders Vodacom NMMU Madibaz continued to stamp their authority in the league in thrashing Kwadwesi All Stars 6-1.

Two goals by Zukisani Mtendeni and one by Cornelius Matuoane saw the students leading 3-0 at half time.

In the second half, Onela Beqezi, Alexander Owusu and Lukhanyo Ndabepha completed the rout.

Defending champions Central Acemates continued their steady climb away from the lower end of the league table with a 3-2 win over NMB Municipality.

Goals by Jim Sinawo and Andile Madywabe saw Acemates leading 2-0 at half time. Nceba Mroqoza secured maximum points midway in the second half.

Forresters retained third place with a close 2-1 win over Highbury in Forest Hill. A goal on either side of the break by Ayanda Ace Mthethwa helped Forresters record their third straight win.

Newly promoted PE Homerovers went down 2-0 to EC Defence. After a goalless first half, Defence struck twice to keep Rovers firmly entrenched at the bottom of the log.

On Sunday unpredictable Warriors beat Motherwell Academy 3-1. All the goals were scored in the second half.

Eshwin Johnson put Warriors ahead, but the lead was short- lived as Motherwell equalised within minutes.

Warriors struck back, with Junaid Jaggers and Kelly Roman netting a goal each.
