Hearts aim to stop arch-rivals Callies

AFTER their unsuccessful bid to win promotion to the Safa-NMB SAB League, Hearts return to domestic action this evening when they host arch-rivals Callies in a Pefa Premier League fixture at their fortress, The Valley.

In their last league match, Hearts suffered their first defeat of the season going down 3-1 to PE Defence. Meanwhile Callies have been in a mean mood, beating Highbury 3-1 and NMB Municipality 5-2.

After a disastrous start which saw them thumped 6-0 by Vodacom NMMU Madibaz, Callies are up and running and are currently second on the log behind the students.

Madibaz should continue their march towards the Pefa Premier League title on Sunday when they play Kwadwesi All Stars at Kemsley Park. In the entire first round the students have conceded just four goals.

Last week the students scored a convincing 3-0 win over Warriors at their South Campus Stadium.

Tomorrow evening the students host North West University in the Varsity Football Challenge.

Central Acemates, who seem to be regaining the form that made them champions last year, play NMB Municipality at the Westbourne Oval on Saturday. On Current form Acemates should reverse the 1-0 result from the first round.

In their first round clash Forresters thrashed Highbury 5-0 but the result should be closer when they clash at the EC Defence field.

Warriors host Motherwell Academy at the Diaz club field. In the first round they earned soft points after the hosts failed to secure a venue.
