WITH Glenville participating in the Safa-NMB SAB League play-offs at the Jabavu Stadium in KwaNobhule over the weekend, Bloom Callies regained their position at the top of the Nafa Premier League on Saturday.

Callies, who went into the match trailing Glenville on goals, beat Blackpool 1-0. Despite the defeat, Blackpool, who finished the match a man short after a sending-off, stay fourth.

However they are now joined by arch-rivals Hotspurs, who drew 0-0 with Booysens Pride.

After setting the early pace, Spurs have not won any of their last six matches.

Glenville were scheduled to play Shamrocks on Malabar 1.

Newly promoted Fairdene jumped to second – their highest position so far – after beating Ebenezer 1-0.

Saints moved away from the bottom of the log for the first time this season when they beat Fairview 2-0 on Friday evening.

They scored their first win last week, beating Shamrocks 8-3.

Chatty United were thrashed 4-1 by Park United on Finnis 3 and now bring up the rear.

In the only match played yesterday, Weslake beat Wolves 2-0.
