St Andrew's hope to keep up winning streak against Muir

ST ANDREW'S will be aiming to register their third win in a row, while a major Border derby will be a big attraction tomorrow in a shortened Eastern Cape schools rugby programme.

Robert Ball's St Andrew's side have built up impressive momentum in recent weeks, running up in excess of 40 points in successive wins over Queen's and Kingswood.

Tomorrow, they host Uitenhage outfit Muir, who will be hard-pressed to keep the strong-running home team at bay.

Muir, themselves, have had two good wins in recent games, against Westering and Solomon Mahlangu, but they will be facing a much stronger challenge in Grahamstown.

In East London, Selborne, who are heading the rankings in the Eastern Cape, face arguably their toughest match yet when they play King William's Town rivals Dale.

This will be a clash of two of the Eastern Cape's most exciting prospects in flyhalfs Courtney Winnaar (Dale) and Morgan Steyn, and it promises to be a cracking affair. Judging by their respective results against Queen's – Dale won 13-12 in King; Selborne won 58-11 in Queenstown – the East London side must start as favourites.

However, Dale showed what a tough unit they could be in their only Eastern Cape loss this season when they stretched Grey High (46-38) two weeks ago and they will be fired up for this encounter.

At Woodridge, both the home team and Despatch have battled somewhat this season and they should have a keen contest, while Grey High, likely to be without their Craven Week players, should still be too strong for Ithembelihle at Grey.

Graeme College wrapped up their second term's programme with a 32-5 win over Nathaniel Nyaluza on Wednesday, while their second team will host the Port Alfred 1st XV in Grahamstown tomorrow.

Tomorrow's fixtures are (home teams first):

Woodridge v Despatch (11.30), Graeme 2nd v Port Alfred High 1st (11.30), Grey High v Ithembelihle (12.30), St Andrew's v Muir (2.30pm), Selborne v Dale (3pm) - Neale Emslie
