Nodefa action now turns to league

AFTER the excitement of the VW Polo Uitenhage soccer tournament they co-hosted with Larofa last week, it is back to business in the Nodefa VW Community Trust Premier League this weekend. Two matches will be played at the Jabavu Stadium this evening. None of the teams have any chance of challenging for the league title. In the early match, Eleven Stars take on Manchester Babes, with Young Pirates playing Jamaican Stars in the late game. Manchester United, who are R15000 richer after winning last week's tournament, should have an easy match against Khayelitsha Stars tomorrow. Logleaders Mbabal Young Stars have a tricky match against City Style in the late game. The fixtures are: Tonight: Eleven Stars v Manchester Babes, Young Pirates v Jamaican Stars. Tomorrow: Really Rangers v Young Callies, Manchester United v Khayelitsha Stars, New City Stars v Stokes United, Golden Chiefs v Kabah United Brothers, Mbabala Young Stars v City Style. Sunday: City Friends v Black Aces, WITH a first win in three starts under their belts, Callies should test Vodacom NMMU Madibaz's unbeaten record when the two teams clash in a Pefa Premier League match at the south campus this evening. Hearts, who are the form team in the league, should pick up maximum points against PE Homerovers at Kemsley Park tomorrow. Hearts striker Robert Yuill has been in top form since the start of the season, scoring in every match, including a brace last week. The match of the weekend should be the clash between Forresters and NMB Municipality at the EC Command field on Sunday. Both teams have had mixed fortunes this season. Warriors had an excellent run in the GM Nafa Easter tournament where they finished runners-up. The fixtures are: Tonight: 8.15 Vodacom NMMU Madibaz v Callies (NMMU) Tomorrow: PE Homerovers v Hearts (Kemsley Park), PE Defence v Central Acemates (EC Defence), Highbury v Motherwell Academy (Bridgemead).
